Samsung Note 20 Ultra destroys Iphone 11 pro in durability test

After many criticism for using glastic(plastic mixture) on its regular Note 20. The Note 20 Ultra really shined because of  the use of glastic and 60Hz display in its regular Note 20. If you didn't know samsung released 2 Note devices its Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra and many other devices in its recent event . Surprisingly  the Note 20 Ultra is a hit for samsung as both users and reviewers all are positive about it apart from the use Exynos processors on some markets. Anyway another good news for Note 20 Ultra is its durability. In a drop test samsung Note 20 Ultra holds very well thanks to the Gorilla glass victus(gorilla glass 7) and the design that really hold up. (check out the video)

As tested by PhoneBuff (youtuber) subjected to his regular test of drop test and compared it with the iPhone 11 pro max.

The first round is backdrop and it survived very well apart from a small crack near the camera bump compared to the iPhone 11 pro which shattered the back glass completely.

The second drop is a corner drop - smartphones usually get dropped on their corners a lot so it is obvious that manufacturers would do their best to harden these contact points. The edge picks up a few scratches but that won’t affect the looks or the performance of the phone.

The third round is front drop and passes the front drop with flying colors as the Note 20 Ultra didn't even crack or have any damage apart from some scratches.

And the final round. In this round the phone is dropped in its front side 10 times from the height of 1.5 m. And here the use  gorilla glass victus and its design really shine as it passed all 10 drop test without any crack on the front glass which is rare for this test and the device works very well without any problem. And the iphone 11 pro max barely manages as its glass completely shattered on both front and back.

From the result its clear that both the design and the new gorilla glass victus(aka gorilla glass 7) have played a crucial rule in Note 20 Ultra to be really durable. But anyway you should be careful as this was done in a testing environment and real world is real world. And as said by JerryRigEverything(also a youtuber) : "glass is glass and glass breaks". So putting a case is a nice added protection and if you like to use without it. It will hold up really well compared to other devices but still you should be careful.
